The Zilker Metropolitan Park’s Great Lawn is set to open on schedule this Saturday, October 28, 2017, after fall maintenance work is completed. The full 46 acres of the Great Lawn will be open from October 28 – November 15. After November 15, part of the Great Lawn will close for the Trail of Lights, while fourteen acres will remain open throughout the end of the year for pedestrian and park use. There will be easy access to the open parkland from both the north Stratford parking area and the south side parking lots.
The Great Lawn will be open as follows:
October 28th – November 1st: The Great Lawn will be open
November 2nd – 15th: The Great Lawn will be open. Parking will be available on Stratford Lot and the south side of the park.
November 16th – December 23rd: The Great Lawn upper tier (14 acres) will remain open throughout the duration of the fall/winter season. Parking will be available on Stratford Lot and on the south side of the park.
NOTE: Anticipate road closures or traffic impacts on Trail of Lights event evenings from December 2nd – 23rd.
