Yeah, I just saw that yesterday. I’m curious what they’re doing, but also a little concerned that the same company is trying to open two Lamar Union restaurants back-to-back, given the high mortality rate of eateries there thus far. (FYI, this South End place is going in where Vox Table used to be.)
It’s all the barley and bean people. It was interesting that Artista had to remove their espresso machine because Medici has an exclusive on espresso drinks at Lamar Union.
The Market food is actually really good. Best bolognese I’ve had in Austin by a mile. So I’m hopeful. I also think a pizza place will do a lot better there than fine dining… but we shall see.
