Emergency Water Line Repair at Kinney Ave/Hether St
The intersection of Kinney Ave. and Hether St. will be closed beginning July 21 while emergency water line repairs are completed. All traffic approaching the intersection will be detoured to adjacent streets. The repairs are expected to take at least 2 weeks to complete. Please use caution when traveling in this area.
Austin Water staff discovered the water leak on the 24-inch water line while completing a routine maintenance project in the area. Austin Water will need to turn off water for some customers on Wednesday, 7/24. Staff will hand out door hangers to all customers whose water service could potentially be affected.
Customers should contact Austin Water Dispatch at 512-972-1000 with any concerns about their water service.
